My brother gave me a Jabra for Christmas. My phone was so old, it did not have Bluetooth technology and I went out to get a new phone just so I could use it. Well, I'm glad I did. The only time I need to talk hands-free is in the car. This is perfect for that.
The Jabra is wonderful. It's sleek and thin, doesn't obstruct my vision when on the visor. It was quick and easy to set up and use. When calls come in, I only need to touch it to answer. No more fumbling for my phone. The sound is crisp and clear. I talk mostly to my husband on it and he says the sound is clear on his end. My kids talk to him from the back of the minivan and he can hear them, too. I much prefer it to the earpiece, which I had to worry about falling out of my ear and gave listeners on the other end an echo. It's also preferable to the speakerphone function of the cellphone.
This is a wonderful gadget -- one of those nice to have, makes my life easy sort of things. I'm glad I own it.
UPDATE: The battery life is remarkable. It's been three months and I've only charged it once. Admittedly, I only turn it on to make or accept calls about once a week, but most rechargeable batteries discharge over time even without use. Still haven't found any problems with this product. Two thumbs up. |
Best one so far

| It's thin, good looking, and it works as promised. Pairing was simple, and the FM transmitter works great even in my car with embedded antennae in the rear window (no aerial, just thin wires in glass). Audio quality is perfect, better than my wired Motorola headset. All of my K1's features work (voice recognition, streaming music). Have not had it long enough to stress battery life. I even use it in my office as a desk speakerphone. Plan on getting the wife one also, no more headsets for us. |
For what it does I give it 5 stars

I recently purchased the Jabra SP700 for my car and though I've had it for a few hours I can say this bad boy works. Myself and a couple of friends have been researching this item since we all recently purchased cars without the integrated bluetooth option that our previous company cars had (nnoooo.. :-(. We did a brief comparison test between the Jabra SP700 and the Motorola T505. Both items do it's job well but with one major caveat. The SP700 as a stand alone speaker and mic works great, better than the T505. But when you try connecting it to your radio via the FM modulator the sound is sub par. Do not buy this product if you primary intention is to stream your music or talk to people over your car's speakers. The T505 does a better job at transmitting the signal via it's FM modulator but as a stand alone talking device it does not.
Bottom line - If you are looking for a stand alone bluetooth mic/speaker buy the SP700. If you are looking for an item that can stream music and allow you to talk over your car's speaker then buy the Motorola T505. |
Worth every penny

I bought a Jabra SP 700 Handsfree for my SUV. The Jabra unit is incredible. People on the other side of the conversation say the quality is clean and clear and they hear no background noise. My mom thought I was calling from home. The built in speaker lacks bass but the sound is very clear and cuts thru road noise making the conversation effortless. Another cool feature is to listen thru the FM radio. the quality is a little better but either option is great. The Jabra costs a little more but it's worth every penny. I would not hesitate to buy a second unit and would highly recommend it to a friend. FYI.... I am a chief broadcast engineer for 5 radio and 2 TV ststions so I speak from a professional position.
If you go with the Jabra I don't think you will be dissappointed

Exactly what I was looking for

I have an LG Dare from Verizon that I use as a phone, a music player, and as a GPS. The Jabra speakerphone is exactly what I was looking for.
My car does not have an auxiliary input, nor does it have a cassette player, therefore the only way I can play music over the speakers is through an FM transmitter. I have a vent mount(Navman PIN Car Vent Holder - Gomadic Brand) for my phone so that I can use it easier while I'm driving. The problem with the GPS (VZ Navigator) is that you can not listen to music and navigate at the same time. This has it's own speaker so that the navigation can come from it while I can listen to cd through my stereo.
When I want to use the LG Dare as a music player, the FM transmitter works great. I really like the fact that it will automatically find a clear station for you. The transmitter is loud and clear. When someone calls, you just press the Jabra and the music pauses. People tell me that I sound loud and clear when using the speakerphone. I can also use my phone's voice commands with just the press of a button to call others. I have used other FM transmitters (Scosche Digital FM Transmitter and USB Charger) and have returned them. This one is the only one that worked. I have a bluetooth ear piece, but if you really want to drive hands free, you have keep it in your ear the whole time.
The best part... no cables. The bluetooth works flawlessly, and can easily be switched to multiple phones. Another huge benefit was the it comes with a micro USB cable (the same one that is used to chaged my phone!), and a universal USB car charger.
The only complaint (although fairly minor) is that the buttons for the volume and FM capability are a little to small to use while driving. This really only becomes an issue if you need to change the FM station.
I would highly recommend this product. |

I use this one myself and it's the best I've found so far. It has a long battery life both in stand by and talk time. It's actually very clear for both sides of the call. You can charge it by USB or by the car lighter. Also it works great as an FM transmitter. Not only for calls but for music too. Just as an FM transmitter it's worth the price alone.
